PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria emergency crews were called to N. Gale Avenue Wednesday night for a vehicle rescue.
Fire Battalion Chief Tom Sander said the vehicle was found approximately 20 feet down a ravine around 7:45 p.m., with the lone occupant of the vehicle found nearby in a creek bed.
Peoria paramedics and AMT provided advanced life support to stabilize the patient.
A rigging system was set up with a ladder, ropes and a basket to remove the patient from the ravine. They were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
